Sarah Turner is an internationally recognised Photobiomodulation Specialist, Clinical Neuroscience Expert, and CEO & Co-Founder of CeraThrive. With extensive experience across pharmaceutical research, neuroscience, nutritional medicine, and non-invasive wellness technologies, she brings a multidisciplinary perspective to advancing scientific understanding of brain health, cognitive wellness, and the gut–brain connection.

She is the inventor of the CERA System, an innovative dual-device red and near-infrared light platform designed to explore applications for brain and gut wellness. Her work focuses on transcranial photobiomodulation (tPBM), mitochondrial bioenergetics, light wavelengths, pulsed light, neuromodulation, and the development of practical approaches to photobiomodulation.

Throughout her career, Sarah has held several scientific and research leadership positions, including Global Head of Research at NES Health and Senior Scientist at GlaxoSmithKline Research & Development. She has also contributed to research examining photobiomodulation and neurofeedback in Parkinson’s disease, while collaborating with neuroscientists, medical practitioners, academic researchers, and research institutions on emerging applications of light-based technologies.

Holding qualifications in Photobiomodulation from the University of Montpellier, Clinical Neuroscience and Stress & Health from the University of Roehampton, and Nutritional Medicine, Sarah is also an experienced international speaker and educator. She regularly shares scientific insights through professional education, research presentations, workshops, and live technology demonstrations, helping bridge the gap between scientific research and practical wellness applications.
